Archery as a team outing

Archery is very suitable as a team outing: anyone can learn it! The hand archery workshop covers a lot of things. We start with a clear explanation and demonstration for learning the correct body position. Then everyone learns how to handle the handbow and we start shooting at a short distance of 5 meters so that the archers have an immediate success experience. After the trial round, the individual competition is started. The hand archery outing becomes even more challenging when we increase the distance to 7, 10 or perhaps 12 meters.

Blind coaching

Hand archery requires much of the physical skills of the participants. Aiming and learning to aim at the target is essential in this regard. We can develop this precisely by shooting blindfolded. Here another participant will give the instructions. This form of coaching in blindfolded hand archery is also a challenging way to communicate when coaching each other. After all, if you can’t see anything, what good is a command like “a little to the left”?

Archery competition

The hand archery outing starts with an individual competition and usually ends in an exciting team competition. Several game variations are available for this, where tactics and team consultation are also essential.
